She did her bachelor's degree from Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Michigan, U.S.. After studying mass communications in New York, Meera worked with a leading national television channel but soon gave it up because she felt she was given a raw deal.

Meera Chopra is originally from the modeling world. Her first film was Anbe Aaruyire (Ah Ahh) produced and directed by S.J. Suryah, in which he played the lead role. It is Suryah who was responsible for bringing her into films and who changed her name to Nila in Tamil.

Katrina Kaif was born on July 16, 1984, in Hong Kong, grew up in Hawaii and then moved to London. Tulip Joshi, born 1979[1], is an Indian model and actress in Bollywood. She was born in Bombay, India, on September 11, 1979 , is a Virgoan, and stands 5'6" tall. She has dark-hair, brown eyes, and measures 32.5-26-36. She has two sisters, Selphi and Monalisa. The latter is married to Bollywood actor, Rajat Bedi. She has a nephew, Vivann, and niece, Vera.

Biography
Tulip was brought up in Mumbai, and attended the Jamnabai Narsee School, and later Mithibai College from where she graduated in food science and chemistry. She excelled in sports, competing in athletics at the National level.

Tulip entered the Femina Miss India Contest in 2000. She did not make it to the list of winners, but was noticed by many advertising agencies. She appeared in a number of advertising campaigns for big brands (Ponds, Pepsi, Siyaram, BPL, Smirnoff, etc.). (She also appeared in a video made as a tribute to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

Film career
Tulip entered movies quite by chance. She was a friend of the bride of Aditya Chopra, the son of director Yash Chopra. The family noticed her at their wedding and asked her to appear for an audition, following which they cast her in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai.

Not being fluent in Hindi, she trained in Hindi diction and in acting at Feroze Khan’s studio. She was also advised by the film-makers to change her name to something more Indian, as audiences might have difficulty in accepting a heroine with such an unconventional name. She chose the name Sanjana, she was playing the character of Anjali in that film.

The film was quite a success[2] Despite the good reviews and success, Tulip was heavily panned for her acting.

Afterwards, she vanished from cinema for two years because of severe back problems resulting from a shifted spine and a slipped disc. She reappeared in Matrubhoomi - a dark film about a futuristic world with almost no women. Her performance in it was praised and established her credibility as an actress.

Reverting back to her given name, Tulip next appeared in the Telugu film Villain. Her next Hindi movie was Dil Maange More with Shahid Kapoor, Ayesha Takia and Soha Ali Khan. The film got average reviews but it was not a box office success.

Personal life
She is of mixed parentage, with a Gujarati Indian father, and a Lebanese-Armenian mother. Currently, she is in a relationship with a self-styled faith healer and mind-reader, Captain (retd.) Vinod Nair.

Ayesha Takia was born and raised on April 10, 1986 in Mumbai, Maharashtra.[citation needed] She comes from a mixed family. According to Ayesha, she has been a model since she was four years old. She appeared in the famous I'm a Complan Boy! Early life
Rai was born in Mangalore, in the South Indian state of Karnataka, to Krishnaraj Rai, a marine engineer, and Vrinda Rai, a writer. Her ancestors are from the Bunt community of Mangalore. Her family relocated to Mumbai (Bombay) after her birth. Rai has one elder brother, Aditya Rai who is a film producer. Rai attended the Arya Vidya Mandir at Santacruz, Mumbai, then entered Jai Hind College, Churchgate, Mumbai for one year and then moved to Ruparel College, Matunga, Mumbai to finish her HSC. She was an A student and was on track to become an architect. Her mother tongue is Tulu. She also speaks Hindi, English, Kannada, Marathi and Tamil.

Rai began modeling on the side while pursuing for studies in Architecture, which did not materialise. In the 1994 Miss India contest, she was controversially placed second behind Sushmita Sen, and went on to win the Miss World title that same year and the Miss Photogenic award. After the one year reign as Miss World in London, she then worked as a professional model, in advertising and Indian fashion magazines and later got into the Indian film industry.

Career
Rai debuted in Mani Ratnam's Tamil language film, Iruvar (1997) with Mohanlal.[1] She was introduced to Bollywood in the film, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya with Bobby Deol as her co-star; the film was not a big hit on box office. However, her third project, a Tamil-language film, Jeans (1998) by S. Shankar was a critical and commercial success for which she was awarded the Filmfare Best Actress Award South. Aishwarya then appeared in many Bollywood films; a few successful films of her career include Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) and Taal (1999) for which her performance was lauded.[2] She was awarded the Filmfare Best Actress Award for her role in the former. In 2000 she had a supporting role in the hit film Mohabbatein and also in another hit film Josh.

Rai has been a regular at the Cannes Film Festival since 2002, and was a member of the Jury at Cannes in the year 2003. In October 2004, a wax figure of Rai became on display in London's Madame Tussaud's wax museum.[6] The same month, her first foreign film was released: Bride and Prejudice.[7] The film was an Indian version of Jane Austen's classic novel Pride and Prejudice. The film did well commercially in the U.K but not in India. Her next overseas venture, The Mistress of Spices, was critically acclaimed though not commercially successful. She then appeared at the closing ceremony of the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, as part of a performance showcasing Indian culture, on behalf of the 2010 Commonwealth Games, to be held in New Delhi. Umrao Jaan did poorly in India; however, her role in Dhoom 2, a sequel to the 2004 hit movie Dhoom brought her great attention. The film, based on the life of Indian businessman Dhirubhai Ambani, was critically acclaimed and a big box office hit.[9] Her most recent film, Provoked, based on the book "Circle of Light" where she portrays a real life character, was released on 6 April, 2007 in India and the UK. The film did well commercially in the UK. It was critically acclaimed all over the world. Aishwarya Rai was under fire for a kissing scene in her Bollywood blockbuster Dhoom 2.The kissing scene from a movie starring Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan, has upset an Indian lawyer who has filed a criminal case against them, accusing them of obscenity.[10] She dated actors Salman Khan & Vivek Oberoi. Her turbulent relationship with Salman Khan filled gossip columns. Her parents also had lodged a complaint against him. [11]

Rimi Sen (Bengali: রিমি সেন) (b. on September 21, 1981 in Kolkata, India) is an Indian actress working in the Bollywood film industry. In an interview with journalist Vickey Lalwani, Sen revealed that she does not use her real name, Shoumitra Sen, "because it is so unusual."

Biography
Sen moved to Mumbai to become a film actress. She was first noticed when she auditioned for a Coca-Cola advertisement, impressing Priyadarshan, the director of the ad. Priyadarshan cast her in his hit film Hungama, establishing her in Bollywood.

She then played Amitabh Bachchan's and Hema Malini's granddaughter in the hit film Baghban. Her next big hit was the Yashraj produced Dhoom. Her next releases Phir Hera Pheri and Golmaal have been successful at the box office. Her latest release Dhoom 2, released on November 24, 2006, is another big hit, though she has very little presence in the film.

Rimi is now going by the screen name Rimii. She explains the name change as a career move: there are many other Sens working in Bollywood right now, and a single name may help her stand out from the crowd and stay apart from others.

Riya Sen is the grand daughter of Suchitra Sen, a legend in Bengali cinema, and daughter of Moonmoon Sen, a former actress. Before moving to Mumbai, she lived with her parents and sister Raima Sen, also an actress, in Kolkata. Her father Bharat Dev Varma belongs to the illustrious royal family of Tripura. Her paternal grandmother Ila Devi, was the princess of Cooch Behar, whose younger sister Gayatri Devi is the Maharani of Jaipur.[2] Before entering show business, she studied at Loreto House and Rani Birla College, both in Kolkata, but dropped out of both institutions.[2] She also briefly studied at the National Institute of Fashion Technology.[3] She also is trained in Kathak and kickboxing.[1] Since her Bollywood debut, she has moved from Kolkata to Juhu in Mumbai. Riya Sen first appeared as a child artiste in the film Vishkanya, where she played the role of the young Pooja Bedi. At the age of 15 she was cast in a major role in Bharathiraaja's Tamil film Tajmahal. Her Bollywood film debut was supposed to have been in Love You Hamesha, opposite Akshaye Khanna, but the film was stalled and she ultimately made her debut in N. Chandra's low-budget comedy Style.

Though Style met with success at the box office, most of her other films have not done as well.[4] An exception was Jhankaar Beats, another comedy in which she co-starred with Shayan Munshi, Juhi Chawla, Rahul Bose, Rinke Khanna and Sanjay Suri. Riya became a popular model when she appeared in numerous music videos for songs by popular singers, including Asha Bhonsle, Falguni Pathak, Jagjit Singh and Sonu Nigam. She was one of many Bollywood stars who appeared in Haath Se Haath Mila an anti-HIV/AIDS music video.

She is also an advertising model. A high point of her modeling career was when she replaced Lisa Ray as the Lakmé Girl, but she has since been replaced by Yana Gupta. Her other notable assignments include Colgate, Limca, Vatika, Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate, and Margarita King.

Riya has appeared on the cover of a number of magazines. In 2004, she was featured partially nude in leading Indian photographer Dabboo Ratnani's[10]annual calendar, which is a major happening in the Indian glamor industry.[11] In Daboo's words, "Her mother saw it much later, after the calendar released. Personal
Amrita was born to well-to-do Chitrapur Saraswat Brahmin family. She speaks English, Hindi, Marathi, and Konkani.[citation needed]. Her dad's name is Deepak Rao. She stands about 5'5" feet tall. She attended Cannosa Convent Girls High School in Mahim, Mumbai. For College, Rao went to Ruparel College, where she was a Psychology student, but later quit college in order to pursue a career in modelling. Amrita also has a twin sister named Preeta Rao.

Career
She entered the world of modeling quite by chance, when she auditioned for an advertising film for Fairever Face Cream. She was selected for the film, and since then appeared in a number of television spots for several products. She has recently been signed on as the brand ambassador for Miss Players.

She made her cinematic debut in the 2002 film Ab Ke Baras, but gained recognition only after the success of her 2003 film, Ishq Vishk, in which her portrayal as Payal earned her the girl-next door image. Success followed for her in 2004 films like Masti and Main Hoon Na. However her following releases Deewaar (2004), Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi (2005), Shikhar (2005), and Pyare Mohan (2006) did poorly at the box office. Her most recent release, Vivah opposite Shahid Kapoor was a universal success.[4] Her performance was well appreciated from critics.[5] Next, she is doing Athidhi with Telugu movie star Mahesh Babu.
